The website has a lot of great downloads but I think the people who run the site can't post links to all the hosters we like. It takes a while for me to get files, but if you ask the site admins will actually help you and repost something you like if the links are dead. Great site to me and no problems at all.

@xiuxiuejar

I'm a premium uploaded.net user too. I've had times when downloads weren't at full speed but 8 hours to download one show? No.

There may be reasons why your download speed is slow. for example if you're using a VPN and connecting to a IP that is slow.
If that's the case choose a new IP.

Only you know what your setup is and you didn't say what you have and what you're doing, but I can assure you that uploaded is as fast as it ever was for premium users.

So check out what your doing. If you're using a VPN run a speed test. Choose another IP then run another speed test then choose another and test again until you find an IP that is fastest.

@RMTeam
It seems you have switched your uploads from RARs to direct MKVs.

For the record: I for one prefer the RARs because of the included info.txt and the possibility to check for (and correct) file errors.
I would also suspect that files might get DMCA'd even faster that way.

@Admin
There are some strange things happening here at the moment: Some file sizes are now shown in bytes, some links in the "Latest Episodes" box appear with the full post title and even very large files are uploaded without RARs (which means that non-premium users probably won't be able to download them).

(And the CloudFlare "Checking your Browser" page is appearing annoyingly often...)

@admin
Like others before, I do prefer .rar files with nfo to simple .mkv
I hope it's just somes glitches and that you'll soon go back to .rar all the time.
Thanks :)

Is there a reason you are posting releases not in rar files and with their full names now visible of what the movie or show is?

I liked the other way where files were disguised. I'm scared to download the new releases now and possibly get in trouble with my ISP.

Please go back to doing it the way you used to? This has always been my favorite site for releases, but as I said I'm scared to download anything now.

No one cares what the filenames are.
The only reason they might be obfuscated is it makes it easier for companies to find them in file listings on websites; or to make takedown demands to file download sites. Your ISP isn't tracking every file you download by name (unless you live in North Korea).
Your ISP could much more simply just block this site.

@kevin, zippysgare bans our IPs. We can't upload files to this service anymore.

I love how everyone jumps at Admin when a file host is not being used anymore.

As if Admin just willy-nilly decides not to use a host without any thought or consideration before doing so.

How many times have we been through this? IT IS THE FILE HOSTS THAT ARE BANNING RMZ!!!! NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!!

Also someone said downloading "raw" video files will be corrupt more often than rar files. HAH!!!

I've never downloaded a "raw" file or a rar file that was corrupt from this site. If your downloads are corrupt spend some money for a faster internet connection or figure out what YOU need to do to get your downloads.

Admin is not going to be holding the hands of the small children while they catch up with the grown-ups.

Not me 12Freds.

Although I use Jdownloader and can sometimes get files to download that I couldn't get started otherwise.

surprisingly good speed too. Avg = 717 kbps on my connecton.

@hevc fan

not sure what you mean by "when jdownloader decides to download reencoded low bitrate .mp4 version intended to stream from openload and not the original .mkv you get a surprise".

when I download a file with Jdownloader I get the file that was uploaded to the file host not some re-encoded whatever you said. (I've never tried downloading from openload watch).

As for Click I posted a comment above.

sadly openload blocks downloads using Jdownloader. But, if that happens I download from openload using my browser--superfast downloads and no BS to make me think I should use another host.

How are downloads smaller now? RAR is a file compression and recover format and compressors files to a smaller size.
In the early days it was used by a small number of us up/downloaders to break up and compress downloads into multiple files for easier downloading with some recovery
(downloading could takes days for a full file)
Then websites (and torrents) like this started to use RAR to change file sizes so the copyright holder could not trace the file by just using a search engine to find all the file hosts by using the exact file size and so it spread to the masses.
I suspect it makes little impact on law enforcement chasing down files now days with the sophisticated software they have now, and its time is probably over in that respect.

@12Freds
That tends to happen when you use certain ad blocking software on their site, try turning it off :)

You can add about another 12 countries to that North Korea list (inc. Australia), dont see it as a problem yet but i understand the concern.

@Master Linux
Funny i just made a RAR file out of a West world episode with 5% recovery and still got 2% smaller size so ok, depends on the type of video file and method you use to compress them, however i will agree that on this site they probably larger as RMTeam is not going to waste time getting the smallest file possible.
I haven't used a download manager in years never had a corrupted file.
Any download can be corrupted, corruption is not biased that way :)
Yes video is the worst to compress, yes 7z does compress file far better than WinRAR, but WinRAR does a better job and is faster.
FYI i dont care if this sites uses rar, zip, 7z or nothing at all, makes 0 difference to me.

Part 2
i was talking about RAR files at conception and its take up, i haven't torrent-ed in years as it is not safe, i have no idea files what they use now, i use Freenet and tor for hard to get files and better security.
I can agree with the bulk of the rest of your opinion :)

I post opinions just like you if you dont agree, this is fine
But if you cannot take it that others may see things another way you are very narrow minded indeed.
Your rant on things i have not expressed a view point on is very entertaining.
Wait there is a limit here om posts now? " abusing you're privileges" what? funny considering you have posted the same amount on this topic that i have !, you made me laugh.
Maybe you could read your own statement "And just because you do something one way don't everyone is going do it you're way not everyone does things the same.

Just chill dude, take a breath. its all fine :)

I'd like to state the only vote that has any meaning here:
Please bring back RARs (or any other type of archives).

The reasons:
- no way to distinguish two releases with the same name (yes that happens regularly, like TV show episodes encoded from Scene and P2P releases; a quick grep through the Latest Episodes box shows 8 release URLs with "-1" at the end, meaning there already was a release with the same name before!)
- the "pretty" release name now has to copy-pasted manually
- some file names aren't even self-explanatory (I've used aniurl-onepie.e763.web.www.RapidMovieZ.com.mkv as an example recently but there are others)
- no way to (automatically) check if the downloaded file is complete and correct (as released)
- no recovery record (which seems to be useful to users with unreliable internet connections)
- the original NFO or RMTeam's info.txt is not included (which contains informationen about the releases's source and an IMDB link)
- additional subs are not included
- non-premium users can't download large (>2GB or even less) unsplit files
- there MIGHT be some benefit in the obfuscated file names (but I think the RARs would need to be encryted with a password to have an effect on DMCA takedowns)

Even if you don't agree with / benefit from all of these points you should accept that others might. For me RMZ has lost a lot of its appeal with this move.

And if I may quote from above what this discussion area is for:
"Please let us know the possible problems and / or your suggestions about the features you need or like to be available on the site."

And for the record:
I even consider the preserved timestamps of the files inside the RAR valuable information, at least for older stuff.
