hi. can we solve this "server under maintenance" stuff, already? if back in the day i'd kept a server in maintenance for more than 4 hours i'd have been kicked so far i still would not have landed.

I just copy the CU links and JD fetches the file url, bypassing all the crap they've been stuffing their website with. JDownloader monitors your clipboard for urls and fetches them in the Linkgrabber tab as 'packages' aka all files found via a url.

There's nothing much to do in order for JD to work. In the beginning, just switch to Settings/General and define a default download folder. If you've got accounts with file hosters, you can add them in there, too, so JD can download as a registered or premium user.

On the Linkgrabber tab you can change stuff like filenames to use, remove unnecessary files from packages, define where to store the packages, set if they should be put in a subfolder, combine packages (e.g. series episodes that go in the same folder), etc. Once done, hit "Add all to download list" (or send individual packages there via the context menu).

On the Downloads tab you can either start the queue and JD will download the packages sequentially or force single packages / files to be downloaded immediately using the context menu.

Just test it e.g. with youtube urls, play around with it a little. While the interface, especially a lot of the Settings can feel overwhelming at first, most of them have good default values and you can come to explore them further once you've become a little accustomed to using the tool. I think it is rather convenient, but the interface is very old school, full of knobs and whistles.

"Adware" meaning: if you are using Windows you might be prompted on initial installlation if you want to install additional software, but if you google 'jdownloader adware' you'll get the link for the 'adware free' version of the installer. JD might show ads, but I have never seen a single one, besides occasionally being asked if I want to buy a premium account via an affiliate link of theirs, which I decline. Concerning the rest: my personal firewall doesn't show any of the mentioned behaviour, but your experience may vary, if you are using Windows. Anyway, there's dl-managers galore, how well they support filehosters, you'll have to ask someone else.

ghosts.us.s03e08.holes.are.bad.720p.web.dl.hevc.x265.rmteam.mkv The data from Click Uploaded Downloaded 47 times Size 30.7 MB Confirmed by download ( URL is for reference if replaced latter is https://clicknupload.space/13r3ilfrrrxr ) Which is only 80MB File, noty the expected and stated 111MB size.

Release Size: 111MB and the 30mb is way to small for this 720P episode file (should be around 100MB) as it should be. Not an accidental 480p upload in the 720p place.

What ever this file is in .mkv format, it does not open, and I can not extract any information in VLC for any codex or error information to farther assist to trouble shouting.

Can we get a re-encode and reuploaded for https://rmz.cr/release/ghosts-us-s03e08-holes-are-bad-720p-web-dl-hevc-x265-rmteam ?

@Oscar2 I've been using jDownloader since 2009. Never noticed any spy or adware.
The "Adware free" setup is

The "Obtain a new IP" just sends commands to your router, which you verify when you activate this option, so it will disconnect, wait a set time, and reconnect to your ISP. That often is enough to give you a new IP, so you aren't forced to wait hours between downloads by file hosts. Only works if you don't have a persistent IP, of course. Used it for years, but my ISP now has a long lease time so have to wait it out.

I appreciate all the hard work the team does BUT there is no point in my paying for a Premium subscription when the download pages either don't work or are so slow I can get three episodes off Clickupload in the time it takes to get one off rapidrar.
ALSO if you are going to put a series on then please put ALL the episodes on otherwise there's no point in watching. i.e The Spiderwick Chronicles No episode 6 is listed.

As usual, congrats, you are again right in every single point. Just that that linked page has not one bit more insight to offer than what you already posted, 10 years have gone by and critical discussions and version upgrades have happened since.

Concerning the rest, @TomMix already provided the necessary insights about how JD2 is best installed and works with routers today: it does whatever a user chooses it to do. With default settings it does nothing of what you state it would.

But again: what's the alternatives? Not that I needed one, but after all @twinkletoes asked for help.
