So, the reason for the proper is:

"Encode for crop. Other group were in such a rush they forgot to check for black borders."

The original was 1280x720 and the "proper" is 1280x544.

There's a black border either way. There's an even larger one with x544, because it's not as tall. So I'm not really sure what they're talking about. But then again, I don't watch on TV, I watch on a monitor, so maybe the situation is different somehow.
